HID Signo 40K Keypad Reader

The Signo 40K Keypad Reader is a single-gang-format multi-technology reader from HID Global’s Signo platform. It supports the full range of HID credential technologies — including HID Mobile Access, iCLASS SE, SEOS, and legacy 125 kHz Prox — over OSDP v2 encrypted communication. The integrated keypad enables PIN code entry for multi-factor authentication.

Future-Proof Multi-Technology

The Signo platform reads virtually every HID credential technology in a single reader, making it ideal for organizations transitioning from legacy Prox cards to mobile credentials or SEOS smart cards. There is no need to swap readers during the migration — the Signo handles both old and new credentials simultaneously.

OSDP v2 Secure Channel

Unlike legacy Wiegand readers that transmit credentials in plaintext, the Signo uses OSDP v2 with AES-128 encryption for secure reader-to-controller communication. This prevents credential interception and replay attacks at the reader wire.

Single-Gang Profile

The single-gang form factor mounts in a standard electrical box for a clean, wall-flush appearance at main entrances and lobby doors.
