This is the fob that ends up on most keychains in the Brivo buildings we run: the teardrop with the black rim, white face, and a laser-etched number you can actually read over the phone when a resident calls the office. Inside is a MIFARE DESFire EV3 chip — encrypted, 8K, the current generation — so unlike the old 125 kHz prox fobs floating around Chicago, these don’t clone at a kiosk for ten bucks.

The “37” in the part number is the Wiegand format the credential is encoded in. Thirty-seven-bit is the classic, HID-compatible format — if your Brivo account was set up on 37-bit (most existing ones were), this is the fob that drops straight into it. Not sure which format your account runs? That’s exactly the thing we check before ordering, because a tube of fobs in the wrong format is a tube of paperweights. The newer, larger-number-space alternative is the 56-bit version at the same price.

They come factory-sealed in tubes of 25 with the badge range printed on the label — which is why enrollment takes minutes, not an afternoon: we import the range into Brivo Access, hand the tube to the property manager, and each fob is live the moment it’s assigned.
