ASUS Computing for Chicago Surveillance Infrastructure

Server and workstation hardware for VMS platforms, NVR builds, and operator stations.

Computing Hardware for Security Infrastructure

ASUS (ASUSTeK Computer Inc.), founded in 1989 in Taipei, Taiwan, manufactures motherboards, workstations, servers, mini PCs, and networking equipment used across industries. In the security space, ASUS hardware appears in custom NVR server builds, VMS operator workstations, and compact computing platforms for smaller recording deployments.

We use ASUS components in custom server builds and workstation configurations for Chicago surveillance infrastructure where specific hardware requirements call for ASUS platforms.

The ASUS Boards in Our Own Builds

Here’s the honest version: when we build a custom VMS server or an operator workstation for a Chicago building, there’s usually an ASUS motherboard at the bottom of it. Not because of a partnership — because they survive. A recording server in a warm electrical room runs 24/7 for years, and the boards that keep doing that without drama earn their spot in the next build too.

Where this matters for a client: buildings running Wisenet WAVE or another software VMS need real hardware under it, sized for camera count and retention. We spec, assemble, and burn-in those machines ourselves rather than reselling a mystery box — see our video surveillance service for how that fits a full system.
