Vidimost was founded by Vitaliy Vergeles (LinkedIn · Personal blog), who started working in security systems in 2007 in Kyiv, Ukraine. Video surveillance was a very different industry back then — analog cameras, early DVRs, and unstable networks were the norm. But the idea that technology could give people real control and peace of mind became the driving force behind the company.
In 2009, Vidimost was co-founded in Kyiv. What started as an installation-focused business grew into a wholesale distribution and technical support company, helping hundreds of installers choose the right equipment, design systems, and solve technical problems. Between 2012 and 2019, the team worked closely with major global manufacturers — visiting factories, attending industry events worldwide, and building deep product knowledge.
The company found its next chapter in the United States, bringing that experience to the Chicago market. Today, Vidimost LLC operates as a mid-size security integrator serving commercial and residential properties across Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
