UniFi Standard 48 PoE

The UniFi Standard 48 PoE provides 48 managed ports in a 1U chassis for large deployments where Gigabit speeds are sufficient. With 32 PoE+ ports and a 195W power budget, it accommodates sizable installations at a fraction of the cost of the Pro Max line.

This switch works well in projects where camera counts are high but individual bandwidth requirements are standard — typical of warehouse surveillance, retail chains, and industrial facilities. The 48 ports also accommodate mixed device types: cameras, access readers, intercoms, and network infrastructure can share one switch with proper VLAN segmentation.

Vidimost deploys the Standard 48 PoE in Chicago-area projects where port density matters but per-port costs need to stay low. Full UniFi management ensures the same visibility and control as any other switch in the ecosystem.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many cameras can the Standard 48 PoE support on its PoE budget? +
With a 195W budget across 32 PoE ports, you can power approximately 15-20 typical cameras drawing 10-12W each. For higher camera counts at full PoE, consider the Pro Max 48 with its 400W budget.
When should I choose the Standard 48 over the Pro Max 48? +
Choose the Standard 48 when your devices are all Gigabit, PoE demand is moderate, and budget is a primary concern. The Pro Max 48 is worth the upgrade when you need higher per-port speeds or a larger PoE budget.
