UniFi Pro Max 24 PoE

The UniFi Pro Max 24 PoE is the latest generation 24-port switch from Ubiquiti, featuring 2.5GbE on every port. It delivers the port density and PoE budget needed for mid-size commercial security installations where every port may power a camera, reader, or intercom.

Each of the 24 ports supports 2.5 Gbps throughput and 802.3at PoE+, providing both the bandwidth and the power required by modern IP security devices. Two 10G SFP+ uplink ports connect back to the gateway or core switch over fiber, keeping backhaul traffic off the access-layer copper.

Vidimost deploys the Pro Max 24 PoE in IDF closets and server rooms across Chicago commercial projects. It pairs directly with any UniFi gateway for centralized management of VLANs, traffic policies, and PoE scheduling through the UniFi dashboard.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose 2.5GbE ports over standard Gigabit for cameras? +
While individual cameras rarely exceed 20 Mbps, 2.5GbE ports provide headroom for multi-sensor cameras, firmware updates, and simultaneous streaming. They also future-proof the switch for higher-bandwidth devices.
Is 400W PoE budget enough for 24 cameras? +
Most IP cameras draw 8-15W. At an average of 12W, a 400W budget supports all 24 ports running cameras simultaneously. High-power PTZ cameras may draw more, so plan your power budget accordingly.
