UniFi Cloud Gateway Max

The UniFi Cloud Gateway Max packs a full-featured gateway, firewall, and UniFi controller into a compact desktop form factor with integrated PoE output. It runs the complete UniFi application suite — Network, Protect, Access, Talk, and Connect — making it a self-contained solution for small commercial sites.

With a 2.5GbE WAN port, the Cloud Gateway Max handles modern internet connections without bottlenecking. The built-in PoE ports let you power a couple of cameras or an access point directly from the gateway, reducing hardware needs for the smallest deployments. For larger sites, pair it with managed PoE switches to extend the network.

Vidimost deploys the Cloud Gateway Max in small offices, retail locations, and satellite sites across Chicago where a full rack setup is unnecessary but professional-grade network management and camera recording are still required.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many cameras can the Cloud Gateway Max handle with Protect? +
The Cloud Gateway Max supports up to 20 Protect cameras with local recording to an attached USB drive or internal storage. For larger camera counts, consider a dedicated NVR or the UDM-Pro Max.
Can the built-in PoE ports power cameras directly? +
Yes. The two PoE ports deliver 802.3at power, enough for most IP cameras. This eliminates the need for a separate switch in very small deployments with just a couple of cameras.
