How We Work

Our Process

A structured approach to security system design, installation, and support — built for reliability and long-term maintainability.

Five steps from first call to working system

Every Vidimost project follows the same structured process. This consistency allows us to deliver reliable results, keep projects on schedule, and ensure nothing is missed between design and handoff.

01

Consultation

Understanding your building and goals

Every project starts with a conversation. We learn about your building, current pain points, operational requirements, and long-term goals. Whether you are a property manager evaluating a new camera system or an HOA board dealing with an aging intercom, we listen first and recommend second. There is no obligation and no pressure at this stage.

02

Site Assessment

Evaluating the physical environment

We walk the building with you. We examine cable pathways, riser closets, power availability, existing equipment, network infrastructure, and any constraints like historic building requirements or shared riser access. We document what we find so the design phase starts from facts, not assumptions.

03

System Design

Architecture built for reliability

Based on the site assessment, we design a system that covers your requirements while planning for real-world conditions: PoE budgets, VLAN segmentation, cable run distances, UPS placement, and storage retention. The design includes a scope of work, hardware list, and network architecture so you know exactly what you are approving.

04

Installation

Clean, structured, professional

Our own technicians handle every installation. We run clean cable pathways, label every termination, organize closets and racks, and commission each device. We coordinate with building management to minimize disruption to residents and staff. No subcontracted crews, no shortcuts.

05

Handoff & Support

Documentation and ongoing partnership

Before the project closes, we deliver full documentation: as-built diagrams, device credentials, network maps, and operational notes. We walk your team through the system so they can handle day-to-day tasks with confidence. After handoff, we remain available for support, maintenance, and future expansion.

What makes our process different

Many integrators rush from quote to install. We take a deliberate, documentation-first approach that produces systems you can actually maintain and support long-term.

We document everything

As-built diagrams, cable schedules, device credentials, network maps, and operational notes are standard deliverables on every project. You should never be locked into a single vendor because only they know how your system works.

No subcontracted installs

Our own technicians do the work. We do not hand off installation to third-party labor crews. This means consistent quality, direct accountability, and continuity between the team that designed your system and the team that installs it.

Clean, structured wiring

Labeled cables, organized pathways, proper terminations, and neat closet layouts. This is not cosmetic — structured wiring directly impacts troubleshooting speed, long-term reliability, and the cost of future modifications.
