LenelS2 Enterprise Access Control in Chicago

OnGuard and NetBox platforms for large commercial and institutional access control — serviced by Vidimost.

Enterprise Access Control Heritage

LenelS2 is the result of merging two access control companies: Lenel Systems International and S2 Security. Lenel, founded in 1995 in Rochester, New York, became the dominant enterprise access control platform in North America, with its OnGuard software managing door access at corporate headquarters, hospitals, universities, and government buildings. S2 Security, based in Framingham, Massachusetts, developed cloud and hybrid access control solutions.

Both companies were acquired by United Technologies Corporation (UTC) and later became part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR) when UTC separated its building technology divisions. The LenelS2 brand now operates under Carrier’s security portfolio alongside Kidde (fire), Edwards (fire), and other building safety brands.

Key Platforms

OnGuard — The flagship enterprise access control platform managing credentials, doors, schedules, and security events for organizations with hundreds to thousands of doors. OnGuard is deeply entrenched in Fortune 500 companies, hospitals, and government agencies.

NetBox — Cloud-managed access control platform for mid-market deployments that want enterprise features without on-premise server infrastructure.

BlueDiamond — Next-generation cloud platform representing LenelS2’s future direction for unified security management.
